2011-12 Miss Collegiate Mom Winners

The 2nd Annual Ms. Collegiate Mom Scholarship Pageant was a huge success with seven contestants vying for the title.  After five rounds of competition, Tiesha J. Seabrook is from Atlanta, Georgia emerged as the winner.  
Tiesha joins Kiara Schaffer of Seattle, Washingtons who made pageant history when she was crowned Ms. Collegiate Mom 2010, the first pageant of its kind in the world.  The pageant was held at Prairie View A&M University on November 11, 2011.

Tiesha is a Junior in Animal Science at Prairie View and is the mother of Autumn and Aubri Ross.  She is a proud graduate of Stephenson High School in Atlanta.  Her ambition is to one day become a veterinarian. Her talent is poetry and she has also been honored to be on the Dean’s List. She enjoys cheerleading, broccoli & cheese, Kirk Franklin, and Aaliyah. She stands on the platform that she would stand by mothers continuing to receive an education and also awareness of pregnancy. His community activities include food drives, volunteering at elementary schools and assisting with cleaning up her campus. If she could invite anyone to her fantasy dinner it would be
her lovely Grandmother.
Other contestants in the pageant included:

Erika N. Blakemore is from Alto, TX and is the mother of Kylen Matthew Rosales. She is a proud
graduate of Alto High School. She is currently a junior pursuing a degree in Agriculture with a concentration in Animal Science. She plans on working for NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Services once she graduates from Prairie View. Her prospective job is to be soil conservationists. Her talents are singing and writing poems. She Distinguished Full Scholarship recipient of the Houston Livestock Show and the Hoover Carden Scholarships. Her favorite singer is Adele, favorite actors are Mike Epps and Kevin Hart, favorite actress Halle Berry and her favorite food is everything but, seafood. Her activities include playing softball with her baby boy. Her major platform is that a young woman should never let her child be the crutch in her life; your child is your motivation. Her community activities include MANRRS and mentoring at Jones Elementary. Her fantasy dinner guests include her Aunt and Great Grandfather because she never met her grandfather and her aunt died before she could ever say goodbye.

Natalee N. Jordan is from Hempstead, TX and is the mother of Raymond E. Ellis III. She is a graduate of Hempstead High School and is majoring in Education with a concentration in Mathematics Grades 4-8. Her dream is to further her education to get a doctorate and be an 8th grade mathematics teacher or maybe even teach on a college level. She is also honored to have received both the “Who’s Who American Scholar Award” and “Who’s Who American Service Award”. Her favorite singer is Kelly Rowland and her favorite food is pasta. Her platform is to motivate women with children to stay in college and those who drop out to encourage them to get back in. Her community activities include being a tutor at Hempstead Elementary, High, and Junior High School. Her philosophy of life is "Excuses are the nails that build a house of failure" but for her FAILURE is not an option. She would invite president Barack Obama to her fantasy dinner.

Cinnamon Buckhalter is from Compton, California and is the mother of Carter Buckhalter. She is a
graduate of Morton Ranch High School and is now a junior at Prairie View majoring in Theater. Her ambition is to graduate college in the year of 2013 and upon graduation to further her studies to become a film critic. She also desires to open her own theatre. Her talents are monologues and dancing. She also held the title of Ms. Freshman Queen 2009-2010 at Prairie View, directed 6 plays and wrote 3 shows. Her favorites are Beyonce, Araji P. Henson and Pizza. She believes that she would be the perfect “Ms. Collegiate Mom 2011-2012 because she is dedicated and hardworking. Her main actives are being a mother, acting & play righting/directing. If she could invite anyone to her fantasy dinner she would invite Beyonce.

About the Pageant:  The mission of Ms. Collegiate Mom™ Scholarship Pageant Program is to serve as a source of excellence for college women through programs that enhance their education, economic and social involvement, role-modeling and advocate for a children friendly university and community service. The pageant is produced and directed by Jasmine Wiggins, a senior architect major from Houston and Mr. Frederick V. Roberts, Students In Free Enterprise [SIFE] Fellow, Co-Director/Producer.
